Astrid is the content editor at Selfbuild Ireland and previously held a similar role at an Irish trade publication, before that she worked at the National Standards Authority of Ireland. She graduated with a BA in Urban Studies from Columbia University in New York and holds an MBA from the Instituto de Estudios Bursatiles in Madrid. Originally from France, Astrid now lives in Portarlington, County Laois, where she has taken on the task of renovating a listed building!

Shaun joined ProAir in 2021 as Chief Operations Officer with overall responsibility for Project Management, P&L, Resource Planning and Sales & Marketing. His background is in Engineering, starting his career in 1993 with a Temperature Sensor company called BetaTHERM and subsequently holding numerous roles in the company from Process Engineering, NPI, Engineering Management to Sales Management. He was also directly involved in the setup of a Sub-Contract partner in China which allowed the business to scale in a very competitive market. BetaTHERM was acquired by Measurement Specialties who were subsequently acquired by TE Connectivity. Shaun held various Commercial roles in TE Connectivity eventually becoming Director of Sales for EMEA Industrial Sensors from 2017 to 2021 before moving to ProAir.

Mr Duffy introduced heat pumps to Irish customers in 1987 to heat existing radiators and new underfloor heating system. The new Eurotech Eco4 Light, overfloorheating system opens the door to retrofit heatpumps successfully in any existing building. Passionate about spreading the good news about geothermal heating. Gerard played an important role in the Geo Fit project at Galway University, using 18 No. geothermal boreholes to provide the energy for two heat pumps designed to heat the Olympic swimming pool. Gerard says, the most efficient heating system is the one that uses no energy, heat pumps offers a path to reduce energy while Solar power decarbonizes this solution.

Gobnait holds a Bachelor of Design in Industrial Design from the National College of Art and Design and a Postgraduate Certificate in Creativity, Innovation and Entrepreneurship from the UCD Innovation Academy.
She has previously worked with a number of the leading design agencies in Ireland, developing market driven branding and communications solutions across a range of consumer facing products, from food and beverage to financial services and mobile communications.
In recent years, she has redirected her work towards promoting and facilitating climate and biodiversity action, running events and workshops and establishing an award winning social enterprise to support individuals and community groups.
