Energywise Ireland

Berth Sheehy

I am the founder and managing director of Energywise Ireland a husband and a dad of 4 amazing kids. I grew up in a busy dairy farm in co Kerry with 5 siblings. This was a great education to me as there was always challenges on the farm. It made me appreciate my family the country side, animals and the environment. On completion of secondary school, I was offered an electrical apprenticeship which I took with open arms. I loved everything electrical. After 4 years and qualifying as an electrician I travelled to Boston USA to get a new experience where I worked on many different projects. I then returned home and started working as a foreman on a number of large projects. I did a number of courses on energy efficiency and automation and got certified In Germany in KNX building automation. This led me to set up an electrical business in 2004. While this was a successful business my passion was renewable energy and energy efficiency. I set up Energywise Ireland in 2009 to follow my dream. Fast forward 12 years and overcoming many challenges we now have large offices and stores buildings in Cork city and in Kerry and are the largest installer of Daikin heat pumps in Ireland. I am passionate about the environment and helping home owners and businesses decarbonise while increasing comfort and reducing the energy bills in their buildings. Energywise Ireland install heat pumps and solar PV in buildings and fit EV chargers to use the free excess electricity and divert any excess energy into heat pumps or hot water. We control energy use and comfort in buildings through automation and install energy monitoring to allow building owners take control of their energy usage. Energywise Ireland is an expert in the field of renewable energy heating and ventilation systems. We can take care or your project from concept to completion, and offer a total mechanical, electrical and ventilation solution. Our familiarity with the latest M&E technologies ensures that we bring you the best quality products on the market. Our innovative design team will provide you with drawings of the entire electrical, heating and ventilation systems in your project.

Talk: Renewable Energy upgrades & Grants

The seminar will focus on renewable energy upgrades and grants available, we will split the seminar in two, the first half will be about energy upgrades and the second half will be about new grants and what homeowners can avail of.
