Job Description

This position will focus on maintaining equipment to ensure its optimal performance and longevity. Will perform routine inspections, identify potential issues, and carry out preventative maintenance tasks like changing fluids, replacing filters, and tightening bolts. They also may be responsible for minor repairs and keeping records of maintenance activities. Will be responsible for building profiles of equipment to understand and respond to preventative maintenance needs.

Key Responsibilities:

· Performing scheduled maintenance tasks, such as inspections, lubrication, cleaning, and replacing worn parts.

Troubleshooting and Repair:

· Identifying and resolving minor mechanical or electrical issues on equipment. 

· Regularly checking equipment for wear, damage, or other signs of potential problems. 

· Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inspection reports, and parts used. 

Safety Compliance:.

· Ensuring that all maintenance activities are performed safely and that equipment is maintained to meet safety standards. 

Inventory Management:

· Monitoring and managing inventory of spare parts and supplies. 

Communication:

· Communicating with supervisors, production teams, and other maintenance personnel about equipment issues and maintenance activities. 

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Technical Skills: Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, as well as experience with hand tools and power tools. 
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues on equipment. 
  • Communication Skills: Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with supervisors and other team members. 
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks. 
  • Record Keeping Skills: Ability to maintain accurate records of maintenance activities. 
  • Physical Strength: Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical labor. 
  • Safety Awareness: Understanding and adhering to safety procedures and regulations. 

Experience and Education Required:

· A minimum of a high school diploma with relevant certifications (e.g., HVAC certification, electrical certification, etc.) required.

· Vocational training or apprenticeship in a relevant field preferred.

· 5 to 7 years of previous experience in a maintenance or a related field required.

Experience with CMMS cloud-based systems a plus.
