Job Title: Litigation Operations Specialist

Location: Walnut Creek, CA (Hybrid)

Duration: 12-month contract

Pay Rate: $32-$35/hour DOE

Summary:

• The Litigation Operations Specialist provides administrative and operational support to a legal team, assisting attorneys, paralegals, and legal secretaries in managing litigation cases. The role involves managing legal documents, handling court filings, coordinating vendor services, and maintaining litigation databases and case files. This position requires strong organizational skills, familiarity with legal processes, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete matter opening and closing procedures, including conflict checks and ensuring compliance with quality standards.
• File documents with courts using traditional and electronic methods and manage docketing of hearings and trials.
• Prepare and process records requests, manage incoming/outgoing file transfers, and upload legal documents to case systems.
• Monitor office supplies, assist with mail distribution, and provide occasional secretarial support or event coordination.

Key Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a law office or corporate legal department, with knowledge of civil litigation and legal terminology.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and legal systems like document and claims management platforms.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail and professionalism.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a hybrid work environment, lift up to 25 lbs., and type at least 45 WPM.
