A Direct Support Specialist (DSS) is a highly experienced individual who has an extensive background working with I/DD individuals, including following Positive Behavior Support Plans (PBSP) and implementing protocols. They support individuals to succeed in their life skills, independence, community integration, and much more! They assist the individual in accomplishing their goals as outlined in their Individual Support Plan (ISP). If you are looking for a career path, then DSP Connections is for you! Pay scale: Starting rate of $27 an hour with a fast track to $30 an hour.
