Position Details

Location: Georgetown, KY

Experience Required: Minimum 2 years

Interview Format: 1-hour MS Teams interview

Travel: Up to 50% (primarily within Kentucky, with occasional domestic/international travel as needed)

Overtime: Up to 20% (approximately 5–20 hours per week based on business needs)

Industry Experience : Automotive Assembly

Specialization: PLC Programmer or Control Technician

Role Overview – Assembly Technician

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program PLC/SPLC systems including Toyopuc, Allen-Bradley (AB), Omron, and Siemens
  • Perform online and offline robot programming (Fanuc and Kawasaki)
  • Ensure new model equipment meets all operational and safety standards
  • Support the preparation and validation of new Assembly equipment at vendor and Client sites
  • Oversee the full lifecycle of Assembly Seibi activity – from design and installation to SOP (Start of Production)
  • Implement equipment countermeasures during setup, trials, and SOP
  • Willingness to travel to North American and international facilities (Japan, Canada, Mexico) and work flexible hours including weekends and holidays as needed

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree in a technical field or at least 2 years of relevant experience
  • Strong proficiency in PLC programming (Toyopuc, AB, Omron, Siemens)
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 50%
  • Availability to work up to 20% overtime when necessary

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree in Industrial Maintenance or a related discipline
  • Automotive Assembly experience

Familiarity with:

  • Safety scanner setup and programming
  • Vision system setup and integration
  • Industrial control networks (Ethernet IP, TCP/IP, FLnet, ProfiNet)
  • Understanding of Assembly AVI and PE Seibi operations
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
