He has over 30 years’ experience working in both the public & private sectors of the construction industry.  For the past 20 years, Paul has worked as a Chartered Building Control Surveyor responsible for business & quality management projects to help improve customer services, training, performance management development and value adding outcomes for NI local authority building control services. Paul has acted as an external examiner for the UU Building Surveying degree & is an EFQM accredited assessor.

Michael has over 27 years experience in the construction industry having graduated from University of Ulster in 1991.He has worked in various sectors within the industry including commercial projects with main contractors, private practice Chartered Building Surveyor.He is currently a Senior Building Control Surveyor at  Ards and North Down Borough Council .Michael is the past chair and current member  of Building Control Northern Irelands Training and Communication Panel.

Michael is the current Chair of the Building Control Northern Ireland Training & Communication Panel. He is a chartered Building Surveyor with over 16 years’ experience as a Building Control officer with Belfast City Council and then Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council. Michael has experience of all types of commercial and domestic applications and is a qualified fire risk assessor. Michael is a former Chairman of Matrics within the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors. Matrics helps young surveyors (up to 10 years chartered) to network and improve their technical abilities and he still presents to new surveying students in Queens University and University of Ulster.

Mervyn has over 40 years experience in Architecture, Planning and Project Management, both in the private sector for private bespoke dwellings, housing developments and commercial buildings, etc. Mervyn holds 4 chartered qualifications in Architecture, Surveying, Building Engineering and Project Management and is a Fellow of 3 of these professional institutes. In private practice Mervyn became an associate of a Chartered Architects practice at the age of 25.  He then moved to the public sector and reached the level of Head of Building and Assistant Director of Estates Services. Throughout his career, his passion has always been architectural design, project management and building legislation including a particular interest in Planning legislation.

Ronan McKee is a Chartered Architectural Technologist registered with CIAT (Charted Institute of Architectural Technologists) & Co-Founder/Director of FmK Architecture Ltd & FmK ECOHomes.
FmK Architecture Ltd was established in 2009 & specialise in Low-Energy Architecture, specifically in bespoke one-off houses. In 2012 Ronan helped establish FmK ECOHomes; A Range of Low-Energy, Low-Cost, Design & Build Homes.
In 2013 Ronan became a Certified Passive House Designer & in 2014 completed his very own Ultra-Low-Energy Self-build Home. Ronan has extensive knowledge on all aspects of Planning Permission & PPS21-Countryside Development as well vast experience on Low-Energy design & Air-Tightness Construction. Before establishing FmK Architecture, Ronan gained vast experience working with several practices across Northern Ireland, including award winning practices RKD Architects & Teague & Sally Ltd.  Ronan has been involved with around 10 Design & Build ECOHomes since establishing FmK ECOHomes in 2012 and currently is project managing around 6projects on-site at present and several more to follow this year. Ronan has also been involved with numerous self-build bespoke low-energy homes for his clients throughout the years.
