Job Description

The QA/QC Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining quality assurance and quality control systems in accordance with ASME, API, and ISO 9001 standards. This role ensures that all products and processes meet established quality requirements and regulatory compliance. The QA/QC Manager leads the inspection team, oversees internal and external audits, manages non-conformance reporting, and drives continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in oil & gas, pressure vessel, or manufacturing sectors, with strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage quality management systems (QMS) in line with ASME, API, AWS, D1.1, and ISO 9001.
  • Supervise quality control inspections, testing procedures, and documentation.
  • Lead internal and external audits; liaise with certification bodies and regulatory agencies.
  • Investigate root causes of quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Maintain quality documentation including WPS, PQRs, ITPs, and MDRs.
  • Ensure compliance with customer and industry-specific standards.
  • Train and support QA/QC personnel and production staff on quality procedures and policies.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field. (Preferred)
  • Minimum 10 years of QA/QC experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
  • Certified Lead Auditor for ISO 9001 (preferred).
  • In-depth knowledge of ASME Section V/VIII/IX, API (American Petroleum Institute) Specifications, ISO 9001 QMS, and other related Codes and/or Specifications.
  • Strong understanding of welding, NDT, and fabrication processes.
