About the role:

We are seeking a Maintenance Manager to join our team in Danville, Illinois, who wishes to advance their professional career in an international, innovative, and fast-paced environment, surrounded by a multidisciplinary and highly qualified team.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure safe working procedures are practiced at all times by employees/direct reports.
  • Provides leadership to ensure clear definition, execution and understanding of roles and responsibilities for Maintenance team.
  • Responsible for the overall execution of the Maintenance vision and strategies, set in conjunction with Executive Team. Establishes targets and ensure delivery against established metrics for measurement of factors such as cost, on-time delivery, and quality of products and services.
  • Identifies, develops and manages effective relationships with existing and potential suppliers of goods and services to meet the established cost, quality and delivery targets.
  • Prepares management reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends and uses information to proactively communicate potential late deliveries.
  • Expertise in technical, maintenance, and reliability programs that support manufacturing operations. Initiates, implements and manages the plant maintenance program in the facility. With an emphasis on planning, scheduling and preventive/predictive maintenance while optimizing performance of equipment and minimizing unplanned downtime.
  • Review the operation of plant equipment and systems consistently, to minimize unplanned downtime, solve problems in a timely manner, and to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Manages the maintenance budgets so that the costs are within the established budget. Tracks maintenance expense vs budget and proposes action in case of deviation.
  • Responsible to define and control space parts in storeroom (MRO).
  • Implements and maintains the plant computerized maintenance management system (CMMS/SAP) for tracking work orders, spare parts and maintenance history of the plant.
  • Tracks, analyses and improves key maintenance parameters such as asset utilization, maintenance cost, PM compliance, schedule compliance, etc.
  • Initiates and carries out projects that improve efficiency and/or reduce operating costs. Supports and delivers results for department/plant KPI’s.
  • Involved to ensure BRC (food safety) compliance in case of non-conformities and ensure maintenance awareness of BRC compliance. Also, for ISO9001quality and ISO45000 safety systems.
  • Assist with interviewing, hiring and training maintenance employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; and addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Qualifications :

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required; Undergraduate degree preferred
  • Experience: 10+ years of experience with repairs and maintenance of processing equipment as well as a minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience at the manager level
  • Specialized knowledge: Working knowledge with the SAP management system
  • Must have strong leadership skills in a technical environment; a self-starter that is highly organized and responsible.
