Job Description

JUNIOR GRAPHICS DESIGNER

About San Diego FC

At San Diego FC, we believe football is more than a game — it’s a community, a culture, and a movement. As one of MLS’ newest clubs, we’re building not just a team, but a brand that reflects the heart of San Diego. Our Creative Team plays a central role in telling that story.

Role Overview

We are looking for a talented and motivated Junior Graphic Designer to join our Brand & Creative team. This entry-level position will support the creation of visual content across a wide range of club needs — from social media graphics and marketing assets to matchday creative and merchandise designs. The ideal candidate has strong design fundamentals, is eager to grow in a fast-paced environment, and thrives collaborating with a multi-disciplinary creative team.

Please include a link to your design portfolio in your application or at the top of your resume. We recommend using a publicly accessible link so our team can easily review your work during the screening process. Applications without a portfolio may not be considered.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design digital and print assets for marketing campaigns, social media, partnerships, merchandise, stadium signage, and internal needs.
  • Collaborate with the creative, social, and marketing teams to ensure consistent brand storytelling across platforms.
  • Assist in managing creative assets, maintaining file organization, version control, and proper handoffs.
  • Follow established brand guidelines while contributing fresh ideas and creative input.
  • Support photo retouching, typography, and light motion graphics as needed. Participate in team meetings, creative brainstorms, and feedback sessions.
  • Be flexible to support fast-turn deadlines tied to matchday, club events, and content releases.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 1-2 years of Graphic Design experience.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign required; After Effects a plus).
  • Strong understanding of layout, typography, color, and brand systems. Attention to detail with a commitment to high quality work.
  • Ability to receive feedback and apply creative direction.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-moving, collaborative environment. General knowledge of and passion for soccer a plus.

This is an opportunity to be a part of a great team building something meaningful for San Diego. We offer excellent benefits including health coverages with generous company contributions, over 30 days of paid time off, and a 4% company match on your 401(k).

San Diego FC is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
