Job Description

If you are interested in Investment Management, this is not the job for you. If you are interested in helping people in retirement planning, you’ve come to the right place. Join a growing advisory firm with strong female leadership as a Financial Advisor-in-Training.

At AdviceOne, we believe in empowering individuals to build meaningful careers while making a difference in others’ lives. As a part of our growing Advice Team, you’ll contribute to our mission to exceed our clients’ expectations by providing an oasis of calm amid the chaos. We offer a supportive environment that values personal growth, candor, and work-life balance.

Your Path to Success

Our two-year training program is designed to develop your expertise and confidence as a financial advisor — without the stress of generating new business. You’ll:

  • Build meaningful relationships with clients and learn how to offer fiduciary advice that aligns with their goals.
  • Lead client meetings and gain hands-on experience in financial planning.
  • Learn the intricacies of retirement plans and financial advising.
  • Develop your skills with the guidance and mentorship of our experienced Advice Team.
  • Obtain your Series 65 registration and prepare for the CFP® designation.

Upon completing the program, you’ll step into a rewarding career, serving your own clients with the skills of an advisor with 10 years of experience!

Balance

This is a hybrid position based in our Glastonbury, CT office, with in-office hours required on Tuesdays and up to 2 evenings per week (Monday through Wednesday). This creates flexibility in your schedule for the remainder of the week to ensure a total of 40 hours for a healthy work/life balance. When not in the office, you will be set up to work from home with full functionality.

Options to apply now and start later in the year, or apply and start immediately!

What We’re Looking For

We’re excited to welcome individuals who are passionate about helping others. At AdviceOne, we value team members who bring enthusiasm, adaptability, and a strong sense of collaboration to the table. If you’re someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and takes pride in exceeding expectations, we’d love to hear from you!

What Makes You Stand Out:

  • A serious interest in helping people with financial advice.
  • A 4-year college degree (a must-have or graduating within 6 months).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A client-focused mindset with a commitment to exceptional service.
  • A willingness to learn, grow, and embrace continuous improvement.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills.

No prior financial industry experience is expected — we’re here to provide the training and support you need to succeed.
