LOCAL SCHOOL SEARCHING FOR A DEAF STUDENT ASSISTANT FOR 2025-2026 SCHOOL YEAR!!!

This is an one-on-one opportunity a Assisting Deaf student in successfully navigating programs focused on academics, vocational, independent living, and social growth.

MUST HAVE:

• ASL American Sign Language skills- basic to intermediate
• Valid Drivers License.
• Vehicle or Transportation.

Day Shift - Mon-Fri 7:30am-3:30pm

Essential Functions:

• Tutoring students when difficulties arise.
• Supervising students in classroom cafeteria, hallways, playground, restroom.
• Escorting students to different areas of the school.
• Assisting in emergency situations.
• Assisting students with emotional, physical and personal needs.
• Assisting in day to day.

Qualifications:

• 1-3 years as a Home Healthcare Aide or Classroom Student Aide experience.
• ASL Skills
• Degree in Early Childhood Education or Special Education preferred.
• Experience working with autistic or MD children preferred.
• Ability to clear federal background check and drug screen.
• CPR certification preferred.
