About the Role:

The Entry-Level Customs Entry Writer will assist in processing import and export shipments, ensuring compliance with U.S. Customs regulations and international trade requirements. This is an ideal role for detail-oriented individuals eager to learn the ins and outs of global logistics.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and process import/export documentation, including customs invoices, packing lists, and certificates of origin.

• Accurately classify goods and enter data into customs software and related systems.

• Communicate with clients, carriers, and government agencies to gather shipment information and resolve discrepancies.

• Monitor shipment status and proactively address potential delays in customs clearance.

• Collaborate with logistics and operations teams to ensure timely movement of goods.

• Learn and apply customs regulations, international trade agreements, and industry best practices.

• Provide administrative and operational support as assigned by the supervisor or team lead.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; college coursework in international trade, logistics, or related field preferred.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.

• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with logistics or customs software a plus.
