Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to architect, implement, and manage robust cloud environments that support business continuity and innovation. This role blends hands-on technical expertise with strategic collaboration across internal and external teams to deliver secure, scalable, and highly available cloud solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Architect and maintain resilient, secure cloud infrastructure leveraging modern tools and cloud-native best practices.
  • Use infrastructure automation (IaC) to efficiently provision, configure, and manage environments.
  • Monitor system performance and availability, applying tuning techniques and proactive solutions to minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate in the design and enforcement of cloud governance, including security controls, compliance policies, and audit frameworks.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to triage incidents and resolve technical issues swiftly, maintaining service quality and adhering to defined SLAs.
  • Support application teams in transitioning legacy systems to container-based deployments, streamlining CI/CD processes.
  • Lead incident response during service disruptions, ensuring clear communication, timely resolution, and post-mortem analysis.
  • Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including support procedures, runbooks, and remediation guides.
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement long-term fixes to recurring problems.
  • Build automation scripts and utilities to eliminate repetitive tasks and increase operational efficiency.
  • Establish intelligent monitoring and alerting systems, integrating auto-remediation where feasible.
  • Apply a proactive mindset to identify risks, propose solutions, and mitigate potential issues before they escalate.
  • Participate in off-hours support rotations to ensure 24/7 operational coverage when needed.

Qualifications & Competencies:

  • Deep understanding of AWS services such as EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, RDS, Lambda, ECS/EKS, Identity Center, Config, and Security Hub.
  • Solid grasp of networking fundamentals and cloud-native networking patterns, including AWS Transit Gateway and hybrid environments.
  • Strong DevOps orientation with a focus on automation and efficiency at scale.
  • Skilled in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Python, Go, Ruby, Java, or .NET).
  • Hands-on experience with Terraform for managing infrastructure as code.
  • Proficient in building and managing Docker containers and container orchestration.
  • Familiar with change management practices and operational controls.
  • Knowledge of data protection, encryption practices, and security automation.
  • Comfortable working under pressure and engaging stakeholders during high-impact incidents.

Preferred Background:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical discipline.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in cloud platform engineering (AWS or Azure preferred).
  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience with network troubleshooting and diagnostics.
  • AWS certification is advantageous and highly regarded.
