Job Description

Our client is seeking a Certified Payroll Analyst with a strong background in certified payroll and prevailing wage regulations. This is a high-impact role supporting major government-funded and public works projects—ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys digging into details, and knows how to keep payroll processes clean, accurate, and audit-ready.

Certified Payroll & Prevailing Wage Compliance

• Prepare and file certified payroll reports weekly across multiple jurisdictions
• Stay ahead of federal and state wage determinations and update systems accordingly
• Ensure correct job classifications per DOL standards
• Submit WH-347 forms via compliance portals (LCPtracker, eMars, etc.)
• Track apprentice hours and maintain project-specific compliance records
• Collaborate with payroll leadership to support restitution processes when needed
• Maintain documentation for audits and internal reviews

General Payroll Support (Backup Role)

• Assist with weekly payroll processing using Paycom
• Reconcile timecards, earnings, taxes, and deductions
• Handle payroll tasks for employee lifecycle events (onboarding, exits, job changes)
• Respond to payroll-related inquiries and resolve discrepancies
• Support internal payroll controls and compliance standards
• Recommend process improvements to streamline accuracy and efficiency

Qualifications

• 4+ years of certified payroll experience (public or government-funded projects)
• 2+ years supporting regular payroll operations
• Deep knowledge of the Davis-Bacon Act and prevailing wage laws
• Proficiency with Paycom is required
• Experience with LCPtracker, eMars, and WH-347 forms
• Strong Excel skills and a high attention to detail
• Able to manage competing deadlines and compliance priorities
• Bonus: Background in construction, industrial services, or heavy equipment industries
