Job Description

Our client, a global pharmaceutical company, seeks an experienced pharmaceutical industry attorney for a permanent position. This is an excellent long-term growth opportunity for an attorney looking for their next career move.

The attorney will be primarily responsible for providing counsel to the company’s commercial teams relating to market access, customer contracting, trade relations, government price reporting, patient support, as well as other pharmaceutical regulatory counseling.

This is a hybrid work arrangement with two days per week on-site in Essex County, NJ. The salary target is 220-240k, plus bonus. Successful candidates will have 5-7 years of relevant pharmaceutical industry experience, either at a law firm or in-house.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide proactive and day-to-day legal support, advice and counsel on a variety of market access matters.
  • Draft and negotiate complex agreements with customers and supply chain entities (e.g., payors, group purchasing organizations, pharmacy benefit managers, wholesalers, distributors and pharmacies).
  • Counsel on manufacturer-sponsored patient support programs (e.g., co-pay assistance, coupons, reimbursement support, patient assistance programs, adherence support).
  • Work to ensure compliance with pharmaceutical laws and industry guidelines including the Anti-Kickback Statute, False Claims Act, federal and state pricing-related laws and regulations, PhRMA Code and FDA regulatory guidelines.
