We are seeking an experienced and driven Insurance Defense Attorney to join our growing construction labor litigation practice. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of construction law, insurance defense, and labor disputes. As a key member of our team, you will represent clients in all phases of construction-related litigation, from pre-trial motions to trial preparation and resolution. Key Responsibilities:

  • Represent clients in insurance defense matters related to construction accidents, labor disputes, and contractual issues.
  • Manage and litigate cases from inception through resolution, including pre-trial, discovery, motion practice, settlement negotiations, and trial.
  • Provide legal analysis and strategic advice to clients on construction-related risk management and compliance matters.
  • Draft, review, and file legal documents such as complaints, answers, motions, and discovery responses.
  • Work closely with insurance adjusters, risk managers, expert witnesses, and other stakeholders to develop defense strategies.
  • Maintain and manage a caseload efficiently while meeting deadlines and client expectations.
  • Stay current on developments in construction law, insurance defense, and relevant regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Active bar membership in NY; NJ bar, a plus.
  • Minimum of [2] years of experience in insurance defense, with a focus on construction labor litigation preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of construction law, including OSHA regulations, labor laws, and indemnity agreements.
  • Excellent research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
  • Proven track record in managing complex litigation and successfully representing clients in construction-related legal matters.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to handle a high-volume caseload.
